We had a bit of down time in August- much needed rest from sewing- but now back and currently sat in France drinking red wine looking at a sand dune from the house. Each bag is hand made and completely unique! They are all lined with waterproof lining and are also water tight. They feature a padded shoulder strap and drawstring closure and because we're girls, theres a handy stash pocket on the side.

Board Art

I have noticed a trend developing of busy prints on boards. The simple candy stripes and block colouring has been replaced by a mix of pattern and print, often clashing. I think it's a bit like Marmite; you love it or you hate it - I love it !!

Who doesn't love a bit of arm candy???

When I spotted Ladyslider, Tara, with her new log I got an instant pang of jealousy. Pretty colour, rockin' shape...what's not to like?!

So I had a quick look to check out the brains behind the board. Salt is a New York based surf company with Californian influences as the owner, Nabil Samadani, is from California and the surfboards are shaped by Maurico Avila, who is also a Californian. Salt therefore brings the cool chilled West coast vibe to the bustling East coast.

Whilst a Salt board might have to sit on my wish list until I visit the good old USA, if you are based or heading that way check out Salt!

I'm a bit rubbish- or lazy!- when it comes to maintaining nail varnish on my toes. I never wear socks so my feet get a real battering so that coupled with surfing means my toes don't stand a chance. That was until I discovered this awesome nail vanish- its UV stabilised and I tell you it just does not come off! It also comes in an amazing number of colours so it'll take you a while to decide what to go for but you won't be disappointed

Designer Surfboards

We've all seen the Chanel surfboard over the years popping up in many fashion magazines however it seems many other fashion designers are following suit.

Firstly you will by now know about the DVF collaboration with Roxy but as well as developing pretty bikinis they have come up with this super girls, but a little bit glam, surfboard.

Italian fashion house Etro have taken their signature paisley and released these limited edition surfboards.

Even Marc Jacobs has got in on the act with these simple yet beautiful boards.

Whoever said surf and fashion do not mix was clearly a fool!

'Peanut Butter'

That is the name of this short film by Leah Dawson about a very special board. The film is like a really sweet love story between a girl and her favourite board. We've all been there ; we've all had that one very special board you swear makes you surf so much better than any other so I think we can all appreciate the simplicity of this video.
