The aftermath

So Hurricane Hercules has finally passed and left our beaches here on the south coast littered with rubbish in its wake. A few of us hit the beach today to do a bevy clean and even after a rain soaked hour with twenty full bin liners we still had work to do. It made me think about how much waste really does end up in our waters and that we surf and swim in it!

So next time you're on the beach take five minutes to pick up the stray coke can someone carelessly discarded otherwise you might just be sharing a wave with that can next week!
